The Spumante Brut "Cuvée dei Frati" is the elegant and refined Classic Method sparkling wine from the Ca' dei Frati winery, which bases its success on the great potential of the Lombard territory overlooking Lake Garda and the Turbiana grape variety, also called Trebbiano di Lugana, which is nothing more than a lucky clone of Trebbiano di Soave.
From Turbiana grapes, to which a small percentage of Chardonnay is added, this Classic Method sparkling wine is born, characterized by good structure and intensity. The grapes come from calcareous clay soils bordered by Lake Garda which, with its fresh breezes, brings important benefits to the vines. The first fermentation takes place partly in steel and partly in barrique while the second fermentation strictly in the bottle, according to the Classic Method. After 24 months of rest on the lees, disgorgement takes place, with the wine then resting in the bottle for another 4 months.
The Spumante Brut "Cuvée dei Frati" is presented in a beautiful golden yellow dress, animated by a fine and persistent perlage. Conquers the sense of smell with delicate but sustained notes of hazelnut, herbs and aged tobacco. In the mouth it is soft and creamy, with good freshness, with pleasantly biscuity aromatic returns. Ideal as an aperitif, this Classic Method sparkling wine is extraordinarily versatile and can elegantly and impeccably accompany entire meals based on fish, white meats and fresh cheeses.
